Felix Oehme received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Munich. He joined Bayer in 1999 and worked as a Head of Laboratory in cardiovascular and biologics research. In 2007 he moved to Biological Development at Bayer where he worked on downstream process development for antibodies and antibody fragments. From 2012 – 2016 Felix worked as plant manager of a GMP facility for clinical manufacturing of protein therapeutics and antibody-drug conjugates.
In his current position as Head of Biological Development at Bayer he and his team are responsible for early and late stage process development and clinical manufacturing of the Bayer Biologics pipeline in Germany. This includes the generation of efficient manufacturing platforms and the implementation of new technologies for process intensification and continuous manufacturing.
