Jose Martinez Calderon currently serves as Pharma Industrial Development
Director at Almirall. With over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical
sector, he has played a pivotal role in transforming manufacturing processes
and implementing innovative technologies. His contributions span strategic initiatives covering the final stages of development through to the technology transfer of pharmaceutical products across diverse galenic forms, in regions
such as Europe, the USA, Japan, and Latin America.
Jose holds a Pharmacy degree from the University of Barcelona, complemented
by postgraduate studies in industrial quality systems. His strategic vision and leadership have driven projects focused on sustainability, efficiency, and technological innovation, establishing him as a forward-thinking leader in the industry.

Most recently, he led the team responsible for the life cycle management of a monoclonal antibody (mAb), delivering two new presentations, including a
cutting-edge auto-injector format, and demonstrating a strong commitment to
patient-centric solutions.
